Dutch regional dress.
Set of one basic paper doll with seven different costumes: Friesland, Staphorst, Bunschoten-
Spakenburg, Marken, Volendam, Scheveningen en Zuid-Beveland.
Not so long ago many Dutch women – often daily, but especially on Sundays and feast days – wore
the traditional dress of their region. Today this tradition with its curious shawls, caps and jewellery, is
in danger of disappearing and it is time we become more familiar with this fascinating part of Dutch
cultural heritage.
The figures is 15 cm high.
